This is the beginning of a work that is intended to archive early photos of my family. This is not my photography. It is a capture of a time that is now just a memory. With moms passing, there is
Early Years
no more "going home."
This is a trip down memory lane and a treasury for my kin. I will attempt to add
to it frequently as I can. This first installment is from a box of slides found
under a pile of Christmas decorations and is dated 1961. I am the cool dude in
the middle doing the victory dance (which I still do) and I am 3 years old here.
My bro - Jim, the "Bruiser" is only one and my mom, dad and grandma Hovie are
all in the mix. Each installment will be in a separate block with appropriate
commentary when possible. Mom gave me instruction not to make a big deal about
her and her accomplishments. I am therefore honoring her request knowing that
all of us kids are moms great accomplishment and in displaying this, I can honor
her (and my dad) indirectly.
